Узбекская кухня Caravan Phuket
About This Spot
Stepping into Узбекская кухня Caravan Phuket is like being gently transported to a warm, inviting oasis nestled between Phuket’s tropical rhythms and the rich heritage of Central Asia. Tucked away at Boat Avenue in Choeng Thale, this charming nook blends the casual ease of a local eatery with touches of caravan-style magic — colorful ribbons flutter overhead, soft lights twinkle, and the faint calls of tropical birds weave through the air. It’s a space that encourages you to slow down, sink into the comfort of cozy carpets and shaded seating, and savor a moment far removed from the island’s usual buzz.
The mood here is quietly vibrant, balancing an open-air freshness with intimate little pockets where friends and families gather over plates that tell stories. The atmosphere feels at once leisurely and alive, shaped by traditional melodies and the gentle hum of conversation. Fans quietly stir the warm Phuket air, ensuring comfort without breaking the serene spell.
Caravan Phuket’s culinary offering is where culture unfolds in every bite. The kitchen honors time-honored ways — from pilaf simmered in a heavy kazani pot to charcoal-grilled kebabs that carry a subtle smokiness and layered depth. There’s a satisfying earthiness to the flavors, with each dish inviting curiosity — whether it’s the exceptional freshness of a tangy tomato salad that’s as vibrant as the setting sun, or the playful fizz of a traditional kvas bringing a cool counterpoint to the warm spices on your plate. These are not just meals, but shared moments that connect the heart of Uzbek tradition with the relaxed pace of island life.
For those looking to escape the familiar and explore something a little different without leaving the comfort of a laid-back vibe, Caravan Phuket quietly becomes one of those rare finds — a place you return to for its sincerity, its subtle hum of culture, and the gentle hospitality that feels like a welcome from an old friend traveling far.

A relatively new beautiful casual stall serving exotic cuisine. Here you can get a lamb plov cooking in the traditional Kazan, charcoal grilled dishes, and baked pastries(Samsa). Everything can be salted a lil more but that’s our taste, you will not disappoint as the portion and price they offer are very valued.

I came here with my family. You walk in from the quaint, beautiful street into … what seems like a caravan. There are ribbons and lights hanging from the ceiling, and spin and dance as the music plays, and you hear sounds of tropical birds as you bathe in the balmy summer air. You pass by some ornate rugs and choose a cozy table. The restaurant is not huge, but it’s very cozy and quaint. And it smells amazing. We shared everything. We ordered the delicious tomato salad, uzbek pilaf (aromatic rice with meat), cheburek (pastry filled with beef and onions), grilled chicken skewer, and a meat soup (I’ve forgotten the name, apologies). But! You don’t need to remember the name of anything I just listed, because anything you order will be delicious. I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the flavours, the care from the service staff, and the nostalgia (my cheburek and kvass in hand tasted exactly like childhood). I think this is my favourite restaurant in Phuket. Please do not miss this gem in Bang Tao. Where a smorgasbord of cultured gathered around in a beautifully designed shopping destination to share their rich culinary and cultural heritage with the beautiful island of Phuket. If Phuket is the pearl of the andaman sea, the caravan is a jewel in Phuket’s multicultural adornment. Thank you, staff at the caravan!

Ouzbekistan restaurant. Typical decoration and music. Outside space, nice atmosphere and with fans to fight hot Phuket weather. Covered in case it rains. The food was really good, healthy and fresh. I recommend if you want a break from thai food, it is a great option.

The first time I ever tried Shurpa. Together with my daughter we both loved it. Part of an amazing set lunch with Uzbeki plov and real kvas. I think this the first time I tasted real kvas. This is now my go to lunch destination in Phuket. I love the open air atmosphere.
